Cruising & Island Exploring

A MIX OF LAND AND WATER ADVENTURES

Description:

Get ready to explore the water and one of three unique island destinations! Departing from the dock at 11:00, we'll begin cruising through the islands and most iconic parts of the St. Lawrence River. Enjoy taking in the breathtaking scenery as we make our way to the destination of your choice. Here’s some information about each one below:

Option 1: Grindstone Island Winery (Our personal favorite)

Nestled on a peaceful and secluded island in the heart of the 1000 Islands, Grindstone Island Winery is a true hidden gem. Enjoy tasting their award winning wines, paired with artisanal cheeses and other local treats, while taking in the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. This boutique winery offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Bring the kids, bring everyone, this is a piece of the 1000 islands you don't want to miss!

Option 2: Boldt Castle

Boldt Castle is one of the most famous landmarks in the 1000 Islands region. It was built by millionaire George Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife, but was left unfinished for over 70 years after her sudden death. Today, the castle has been restored to its former glory and is open for visitors to explore. Visitors can tour the castle, its grounds, and gardens, and learn about the fascinating history of this iconic landmark. The island on which the castle is situated is also home to some beautiful walking trails, picnic areas, and other historic buildings.

Option 3: Rock Island Lighthouse

The Rock Island Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse that has been guiding ships through the treacherous waters of the 1000 Islands for over a century. Visitors can explore the lighthouse and learn about its fascinating history, which includes stories of shipwrecks, rescues, and even a ghost. The island surrounding the lighthouse is also a beautiful spot for a picnic or a hike, with stunning views of the surrounding islands.

Regardless of which option you choose you're sure to have an unforgettable experience. As well, if we happen to have some spare time towards the end of our tour, we’re happy to customize it to your tastes, whether it's dropping anchor in a secluded cove, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, or cruising through more of the hidden gems among the islands!

Note: Admission/ cost for venues is not included in tour price

Helpful Info

Check in: Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the tour starts for check-in. You'll meet Jordan at the Wellesley Marketplace and he will guide you down to the dock where the boat is located. Full details will be provided after booking.

Accessibility: Our tours are designed for those with full mobility as our smaller vessel may present challenges when getting on and off from the dock. Please take this into consideration before booking. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us beforehand to discuss possible alternative options.

What to wear & Bring: If you're planning to swim, don't forget your swimsuit! We also recommend bringing sunglasses, towels, and plenty of sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. If the weather looks cooler, it's always a good idea to bring some layers to ensure your comfort.

Food & Drinks: Bring your favorite drinks and snacks to enjoy on board, and feel free to pack a lunch or some sandwiches for a midday picnic. We provide a large cooler on board with ice and plenty of water to keep you hydrated throughout the day.

Cancellation policies: Please let us know at least one week before your scheduled tour to receive a full refund. Cancellations within one week of your tour will result in forfeiture of your deposit, which will be credited for future use. Within 24 hours of your scheduled tour, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations, except for inclement weather. In such cases, we'll work with you to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Seasons: We offer this package from June through September, so you can choose the time that works best for you! Each month brings its own special charm to the tour, and we love them all. During peak season, which typically falls in the 70s to 80s, you'll find that there's no such thing as too warm of a day to be on the water!
